Information about the Linksys CM100 cable modem
Front View:

Power: Should be on as long as the device is receiving power.
DS: Will blink at first, but then turn solid when it obtains a connection.
US: Will blink at first, but then turn solid when it obtains a connection.
Online: Will blink at first, but then turn solid when it obtains a connection.
Link: Will turn solid when it obtains a connection, will blink when data is being transferred.
Back View:

Power: Connects the modem to the AC Adapter.
USB: Can connect to the USB port on the computer (Not necessary if using Ethernet).
Ethernet: Connects to Ethernet port on the computer or router (Not necessary if using USB).
Reset: Can be used to reset the modem, in most cases however briefly removing the power is all that is required.
Cable: Connects to the COAX cable in the house.
